Blk Sonshine

Ambassador Image

Masauko Chipembere and Neo Muyanga are collectively known as Blk Sonshine. Chipembere, born in the United States of Malawian parents, grew up in South Africa and was influenced by the hip-hop genre, which gives Blk Sonshine’s music its street edge.

He met Muyanga during a two-year sojourn to Central and Southern Africa and their friendship developed into a dynamic musical partnership.

Their music is regarded as a unique combination of pop melody and African rhythm. Blk Sonshine performed at Nelson Mandela’s 46664 concert in South Africa in 2005.
